Your first Wix popup in minutes
A step-by-step guide to installing Popup Wizard on Wix and launching a high-converting popup campaign from your dashboard.
Install Popup Wizard from the Wix App Market
Open the Wix App Market and search for Popup Wizard, or click the link below. Click Add to Site and approve the permissions. The app is added to your Wix dashboard instantly — no code or custom development required.
Popup Wizard works with all Wix site types including eCommerce, portfolios, and service sites.
Open the Popup Wizard dashboard
After installation, go to your Wix dashboard and click Popup Wizard in the left sidebar under Apps. This is where you manage all your popup campaigns.
Bookmark the dashboard link so you can get back to it quickly when running campaigns.
Create your first campaign
Click New Campaign and choose a goal — email capture, discount code, announcement, or banner. Type a short description of your popup and let AI generate a full layout, headline, body copy, and call-to-action from your prompt.
You can regenerate AI campaigns as many times as you like until the result feels right for your brand.
Writing a good prompt
Include these four things for the best results:
- →Goal — what should the popup accomplish?
- →Layout — centered card, two-column, portrait image?
- →CTA — what should the button say?
- →Behavior — what happens after the click?

“Create a centered popup for a Wix ecommerce site promoting this week’s specials. Use a tall portrait-style image layout, headline ‘This Week’s Specials’, subheadline ‘New specials every Wednesday’, and add a ‘View Full Menu’ button.”

Use the visual editor to adjust colors, fonts, button styles, border radius, and spacing so the popup matches your Wix site. Changes preview in real time before you save.
Match the popup background to your site’s hero section color for a seamless branded feel.
Set targeting rules
Choose which pages show your popup: all pages, specific URLs, or URL patterns. Filter by device (desktop, mobile, tablet), UTM campaign parameter, or query string — so the right visitors see the right message.
For a promotional campaign, target only the pages where the offer is relevant rather than showing it sitewide.
Configure timing and frequency
Set a delay (e.g. show after 5 seconds) and a frequency rule (e.g. once per session, once per day, or once per visitor). This prevents popup fatigue while keeping your campaigns active.
For email capture, “once per visitor” is the standard setting — show it once and respect the dismiss.
Publish and monitor
Hit Publish. Your popup goes live on your Wix site immediately. Head to the Analytics tab to track impressions, clicks, and conversions in real time. Use the data to compare campaigns and improve performance over time.
Give each campaign at least 200 impressions before drawing conclusions about its conversion rate.
